Dr. Hou joined South Shore Internal Medicine in 2014. She earned her medicine degree from Chongqing Medical University, P.R. China in 1983. She completed her residency and Chief resident at North Shore Medical Center, Salem Hospital. Subsequently she worked as an attending physician at North Shore Medical center for several years involving teaching medical students and residents.
Dr. Hou is board certified in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Hou did several years of diabetes research at the University of Iowa and Stony Brook. She is very interested in taking care of Diabetic patients.
