Edward M. Lintz, M.D.

Edward M. Lintz, M.D. founded South Shore Internal Medicine in 1975. He is a cum laude graduate of the University School in Shaker Heights, Ohio, a graduate from the honors program at Georgetown University, and Case Western Reserve Medical School. He interned and did his first year of residency in Internal Medicine at Georgetown University Hospital. His second year of residency was at Boston University Hospital and he did a year of Cardiology Fellowship at New England Medical Center. He is board certified in Internal Medicine.

At Milton Hospital he has been Director of the Coronary Care Unit, Director of Medical Education in the library, and Medical Staff Coordinator.

His interests include all aspects of preventative medicine, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, exercise and weight training for all patients, treatment of menopause, osteoporosis, overweight problems, cholesterol problems, and the emotional and psychological well-being of his patients.

He is currently writing a book entitled Philosophy and Literature in Medicine.

Dr. Lintz is a recipient of the Baron Hugo Award for humanitarian care of patients.
